Management Team

David Rosenberg, CEO

Formerly founder and VP of the Java Products Group within Oracle's Server Technolgies division, where he lead the design and development of Oracle's database-centric Java vision from 1993 to 2001. Dave's teams released leading products ranging from JDBC, SQLJ, Oracle's high-performance JServer, and early versions of Oracle's application server suite. Dave also has large scale applications experience as VP of Engineering at Apexon, Inc, where he lead the design and development of the second public release of the Business Relationship Management product suite. Dave is an alumnus of Object Design, Inc., one of the first commercial providers of object database management systems.

Richard J. DeFrancisco, VP Sales

A former PricewaterhouseCoopers sales leader, Rich has led sales organizations at Teradata and Oracle, taken Evolve Software public; and has extensive sales, marketing and management experience in CRM, enterprise collaborative software and enterprise content management.

Malcolm Colton, VP Marketing

Malcolm has successfully launched several new technologies on the market, including the first Object-Relational DBMS and the first Java DBMS. Unusual for a marketing leader, in the first half of his career Malcolm worked in software engineering. In the second half of his career he managed marketing for database companies Sybase, Illustra, Informix, Cloudscape, and Solid, as well as running a successful consulting practice specializing in the marketing needs of early stage software companies.

Eric Varsanyi, Chief Architect

Formerly principal architect in Intel's Network Division's Advanced Development Lab, where he designed a loosely coupled distributed L2 through L7 network switching system, Eric was a founder of iPivot, where he designed and led the implementation of iPivot's transparent SSL accelerator appliance. Eric is also an alumnus of Berkeley Software Design, where he multithreaded the BSD kernel, and Cray Computer Corporation, where he worked on Cray-3 and Cray-4 prototype hardware, and on ports of SVR4 Unix to those platforms.
